What makes Bioscript Group a ‘Great Place to Work’?

Bookmarks

We’ve been officially recognised as a Great Place to Work and this is based on independent, anonymous employee feedback. This is how people across the organisation experience working here and we are incredibly proud to receive this accolade.

An overwhelming 81% of respondents said, “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.” This headline result recognises the everyday experience our people shared anonymously.

Whilst the certification is a huge source of pride for us, what matters more is the knowledge that our people feel respected, valued and able to thrive as part of our organisation.

So what’s it actually like to work at Bioscript Group?

That positive experience was seen consistently across all surveyed categories.

A workplace built on fairness and respect

This is an environment where respect is part of everyday working life; people are appreciated and treated fairly, regardless of their role, their seniority, their background or how they identify. That sense of fairness shapes how teams interact and how decisions are made.

Inclusion is not treated as a separate initiative. It is embedded in how the organisation operates day to day, from how people are supported to how opportunities are created. We actively support colleagues with disabilities and have been recognised as a Level 2 Disability Confident employer, reflecting a broader commitment to creating a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed.

Survey results show consistently high scores (95% or higher) across questions relating to fairness and inclusion.

    Belonging from day one

From the moment people join, there is a strong emphasis on belonging. New starters are welcomed into teams that take the time to support them and help them settle in. Individuals are encouraged to contribute their perspectives early on, reinforcing the idea that every role matters and that different viewpoints strengthen the work.

This early sense of inclusion creates confidence and connection, helping people feel part of the organisation rather than simply part of a function.

    Trust, autonomy, and support

Trust plays a central role in how work gets done. People are trusted to manage their responsibilities, make informed decisions, and take ownership of their work without unnecessary oversight. Support is available when it is needed, but it is balanced with confidence in people’s judgement and expertise.

This approach creates space for thoughtful, high-quality work and allows individuals to focus on delivering meaningful outcomes rather than navigating layers of approval.

    Collaboration that runs across teams

Collaboration is a defining part of working life here. Teams work closely across disciplines, supporting one another through complex interesting projects and busy periods. There is a shared understanding that success depends on cooperation, clear communication, and a willingness to step in when challenges arise.

This collective approach fosters strong working relationships and a sense of shared responsibility for the work being delivered.

“People are willing to give extra to get the job done”

“Bioscript has a great teamwork ethic. I know that if I am in a crunch situation with timelines, my manager and colleagues will help me to achieve my deadlines.”

    Community and connection in practice

That sense of connection extends beyond day-to-day project work. Over the past year, teams have come together through a range of shared moments, from charity fundraising activities and community initiatives to informal social events and seasonal celebrations. These moments create space for people to unite across teams, strengthening relationships and reinforcing a culture where collaboration is built on genuine camaraderie as well as professional respect.

“Great team spirit that reflects the values of the company, with a shared desire to strive for excellence in the work we deliver.”

Leadership that is present and approachable

Our leadership team is accessible and engaged. Communication is open and transparent, helping people understand priorities and feel connected to the wider direction of the organisation. Leaders are visible and approachable, creating an environment where questions and feedback are welcomed.

This clarity and openness help teams stay aligned and supported, particularly in a fast-moving and demanding industry.

“Great people and great leadership who listen. I feel truly valued here.”

Flexibility that supports sustainable working and wellbeing

While our work can be demanding, there is recognition that flexibility enables people to perform at their best. Individuals are trusted to balance professional responsibilities with life outside of work, contributing to a more sustainable and supportive working environment.

Alongside a hybrid-working model, employees also have access to regular wellbeing check-ins and private medical cover, helping people stay well and supported both in and outside of work.

“Work-life balance is a real thing and not just a marketing phrase — the wellbeing of employees is genuinely important.”

Purpose and responsibility beyond the work itself

The work people do at Bioscript Group is closely connected to improving healthcare outcomes, and that sense of purpose carries through into day-to-day roles. There is a clear link between individual contribution and the wider impact of the organisation’s work.

Environmental and community considerations also form part of how the organisation thinks about its responsibilities. Efforts to reduce environmental impact, alongside opportunities for colleagues to engage with local communities, add another layer of meaning for people who value responsible and sustainable working practices.

    A proud workforce

This feedback illustrates we are  a workplace where people feel supported, trusted, and connected to their work and their colleagues. It is why 81% of employees say Bioscript Group is a great place to work, and why that experience is felt consistently across teams and roles.

While we are proud of this recognition, our focus now is on the follow up actions and new initiatives that will bring this feedback to life and continue to strengthen the experience of working at Bioscript Group.
